Outsourcing and Supplier FAQs
Common questions on outsourcing or supplier for MSf parts
At MSf, we maintain strict standards when working with outsourced processes and partner suppliers to ensure every production stage meets our quality expectations.
From raw material sourcing and heat treatment to various surface finishing options, we collaborate only with reliable and experienced partners who understand our product requirements.
The following FAQs provide an overview of how we manage materials, treatments, and supplier selection, giving you confidence in the consistency and quality of every MSf product.
How does MSf manage raw material sourcing?
MSf maintains strict standards when outsourcing processes and selecting partner suppliers. All raw materials are procured through distributors who source directly from CSC (China Steel Corporation). We can provide customers with corresponding heat numbers, chemical compositions, and batch information upon request.
Because we understand that raw material quality directly affects final product performance, every batch must pass our internal quality inspection to ensure consistency.
Most of the materials we use are coil-based, including S50C, SAE1065, SK85M, SPCC, stainless steel, and more.
How does MSf ensure heat treatment quality?
MSf cooperates with long-term, stable heat-treatment partners who are familiar with our product requirements. These suppliers understand the necessary characteristics of each part, ensuring that mechanical properties and hardness meet specifications.
What types of surface treatments can MSf provide?
Depending on customer requirements, MSf works with qualified and experienced surface-treatment suppliers to provide a wide range of finishing options aimed at improving corrosion resistance and appearance. Common treatments include:
β Phosphate Coating: Mostly black in appearance. Sub-types include zinc phosphate and manganese phosphate. Waxing or oiling is usually applied afterward.
β Trivalent Chromium Plating: Typically silver or yellow, with chromate colors adjustable based on customer needs.
β Zinc Flake Coating: Commonly silver-gray, and can also be adjusted to different colors when required.
Other available treatments include mechanical zinc plating, trivalent zinc-nickel, copper plating, and more.
MSf always selects the appropriate surface treatment based on the drawing specifications to ensure compliance with customer expectations.
